The Gallery at Paper Mill
Call for Artists
Paper Mill Playhouse is proud to announce a new initiative – The Gallery at Paper Mill. To expand its support of the local arts community, Paper Mill will support curated exhibitions in its mezzanine lobby. With more than 50 linear feet of display area and over 170,000 visitors annually, Paper Mill envisions a program of five art exhibitions per year to corresponding each main stage production running from four to six weeks each.
Selections will be made by a curatorial committee and will be made on a rolling basis. Because part of the aim of this program is support the local New Jersey arts community, Paper Mill will accept submissions from any artist who lives or works in New Jersey, with special consideration given to those who live or work within a 15-mile radius of Millburn, where Paper Mill is located.

Artists must demonstrate that they have enough work available for a solo show at the time of the submission - we ask for a minimum of 5 pieces that are ready to be displayed.

All work must be “hang ready” – framed, with wires (no cleats).
All accepted artists will be required to sign a contract with the Paper Mill.
We will not accept nudes or art with overt sexual, religious or political content.
Work may be for sale (but does not have to be) and can be sold while in the show.
Any work displayed is displayed at the risk of the artist and not the Paper Mill.
Delivery, installation, de-installation, and shipping of the art will be the responsibility of the artist.
Acceptance into this program is at the discretion of Paper Mill’s Curatorial Committee and leadership. A curatorial committee comprised of local arts professionals has been formed to make final selections.
There will be no charge to participate in this program (beyond a $30 fee to apply) and no commission will be taken on sales. Paper Mill will not participate in the sale of art. Artist contact information will be provided.
Paper Mill reserves the right to show more than one artist at a time, as necessary.
